My whole life I have been very creative, from drawing, writing, and creating new ideas. As a kid I grew up watching films, mainly old classics and some moderns. But the first film to catch my eye was Star Wars (the originals), I was amazed at the special effects and storytelling. I was instantly hooked, I then went on to watch the other two with my cousins and sister. I consider film as another medium of Art; I have dealt with pencil, paint, photography, sculpture, now I want to tackle Film!
I always thought I couldn't make a movie like that, or a movie in general; but in high school I was shooting video of my friends and I, but while editing I discovered that I could. All you need is a creative mind, originality, and a great story; I'm not saying that everyone can make a film but if you have those three things and determination then it is possible.
I began my film-making experience, by making my own music videos; filming and editing the clips with songs I felt fit the scenes. I did a decent job at it too! From there I moved onto actually filming things my friends and I did, it was fun. But at the time, a pain to keep explaining why I kept filming random moments; to me it was and still is a learning experience.
I have always thought that my LIKES or me in general are made up of different time periods and being a history buff it makes me wish I could travel back in time. That being said: I love classic films the best from the 30's all the way to at least the 80's, I do love a lot of modern films though with the epic, amazing SFX. But I stand strong against remakes, some are worthy; but MOST are terrible. All they do to them is butcher the great works of what has been accomplished. Be ORIGINAL and TELL a GREAT STORY.
